What a glorious and relaxing stay we had at Gully’s Nest! We loved the quiet location, away from the main road but quickly accessible by the dinghy to where our golf cart awaited. The property had ideal docking for our rental boat as well. Gully’s Nest was warm, inviting, and comfortable, and our hosts were so kind and hospitable. Thank you for welcoming us into your home!! We hope to return for another visit!!

Our Stay at Robert and Karen Lowe’s Gully’s Nest was fantastic. To start with, the location is perfect, it is a mix of privacy and enjoyment. The swimming pool is only a few steps from your totally screened in front porch. The view of Roberts fruit trees and yards are beautiful. Who could plan a more perfect setting? The cottage is absolutely complete. The bedrooms are located at each end of the cottage with complete baths just one step from the bedrooms offering complete privacy. The Kitchen is open and airy and absolutely complete. Coffee machine to Microwave you name it. In fact the word “Complete “describes Gully’s Nest. You do not need to bring anything. But the most important part of your vacation is the kindness and sharing of Robert and Karen Lowe. You are not just renting a cottage, you are sharing your lives with two Abaco natives in paradise. The Gully’s Nest & The Gully’s Ridge are very well-appointed cottages, located near the beautiful, historic community of Hope Town, in a private garden setting, owned and operated by the most hospitable couple you will find! Besides warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations and helpful guidance in how to spend your “Days in Paradise”, Capt. Robert and Capt. Karen offer guided boat tours of the beautiful Abacos. If you want to bring the family to Elbow Cay, Abaco, Bahamas, you have picked the right place, when you select Gully’s Ridge. Beautifully nestled in the fruit trees you have complete privacy. Everything is provided from dock to linens. Whatever you can imagine is available. The kitchen is completely furnished and the dining room table will sit your entire family. Plenty of baths to go with each bedroom. The entire house was perfect for our family and we enjoyed the evening meals, and reminiscing about our daily adventures, Loud bands and parties did not interrupt our family time. But most important of all was that Robert and Karen Lowe were there to guide us and share with us the beauty of the Abacos. Our family vacation in Gully’s Ridge will always rank number one. Thank you Robert and Karen.

This property was clean, nice, new and in a great quiet location. But the best thing about it is the owners who live on the property. They were the most helpful and accommodating folks you could ever ask to meet. They helped us with a boat issue, ferried some folks around and were a joy to spend time with. Robert is a professional fisherman and knows the area exceedingly well. They gave us some insight on places to go and things to do. I really cannot say enough about Karen and Robert. It was like going on vacation and having family there at every step.

I wish I could give more than the top “5-star rating” for this property. Not only is the property represented to a T in the VRBO listing, the property manager was nothing less than “family” (she lives a few doors down), the way she catered to us during our stay. I loved the location being separated a bit from the daily noise and road/tourism traffic and makes you feel you are on your own island with immediate access to the Cay via your own small boat to cross the creek to get to town. We did have our own boat (26′ center console with twin 150’s) which was easily moored to the dock and accessible at low tide without a worry on the draft. We WILL return and will be sure to check the availability of this home during our next visit! Thank you Lynsey and Karen for the best trip we have had to the islands!
